Salary: €300-500k total comp
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the global HQ of this tech-focused market maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space. Now looking for an experienced engineer with a background in developing large-scale data platforms to lead on building a new platform for global trading operations.
You will join the Delta One team in a hands-on role, where your work on real-time data capture and processing will directly influence trading strategies for a variety of products. Your primary focus will be meeting the data needs of traders and researchers; to do this your work will involve:
- develop software for live capturing of data from external and internal systems to build a data lake
- build derived datasets from this data lake, batch processing to generate a history and using stream processing for real-time data feeds
- design data systems which automate recovery processes with very little human involvement in case of interruptions or failures
This role is pivotal in enhancing alpha research and trading capabilities at the firm and would suit a confident self-starter keen to apply their senior engineering expertise to complex challenges. In return, you’ll see the immediate impact of your work on numerous areas across the business.
Requirements
- Experience building a large-scale data platform that operates from capture to consumption
- Not afraid to make mistakes, and use lessons learned to construct an even more robust platform
- Understanding of technical fundamentals, e.g. networking, database behavior & system performance when designing systems
- Familiar with building batch and stream processing systems for diverse data sources
- Proponent of maintaining operational excellence and reducing the dependency on humans within data operations
