Now looking for an experienced engineer with a background in developing large-scale data platforms to lead on building a new platform for global trading operations.
You will join the Delta One team in a hands-on role, where your work on real-time data capture and processing will directly influence trading strategies for a variety of products. Your primary focus will be meeting the data needs of traders and researchers, including developing live-capturing software to build a data lake and building derived datasets from the lake, using batch processing (to generate history) and stream processing (real-time data feeds).
This role is pivotal in enhancing alpha research and trading capabilities at the firm and would suit a confident self-starter who is keen to apply their senior engineering expertise to complex challenges. In return, you’ll see the immediate impact of your work on numerous areas across the business.
Requirements
- Experience building a large-scale data platform that operates from capture to consumption
- Not afraid to make mistakes, and use lessons learned to construct an even more robust platform
- Understanding of technical fundamentals, e.g. networking, database behavior & system performance when designing systems
- Familiar with building batch and stream processing systems for diverse data sources.
- Proponent of maintaining operational excellence and reducing the dependency on humans within data operations
