Leading global prop trading firm seeking a Senior Trading Systems Engineer to join its APAC-based trading technology team. This role sits at the intersection of trading, infrastructure and software development, helping provide smooth support to mission-critical systems for global markets.
Sitting at the heart of the business, you will be responsible for ensuring reliability and performance for a world-class trading ecosystem. This is a fast-paced, technically demanding and highly collaborative role offering significant responsibility and ownership.
This role would suit an engineer with 5+ years’ experience in a trade support or SRE role in a production environment who enjoys solving complex time-sensitive problems in close proximity to live trading.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience working in trade support, SRE or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related/relevant field
- Basic knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
- Familiarity with trading platforms & financial markets
- Experience working in a production Kubernetes environment
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the health and availability of a world class trading ecosystem
- Responding to support requests from our traders and software engineers
- Liaising with external trading partners including financial exchanges and clearing firms to resolve technical problems
- Onboarding new trading desks, systems and technologies
