Senior HFT Technologist (London/Amsterdam)

First technical hire in Europe for established APAC-based HFT

Summary

This is a chance to be the first technical hire in Europe for one of the fastest-growing prop trading firms in the APAC region. For the first time ever they are looking to establish a presence in EMEA off the back of continued success in APAC, as they look to expand into new and emerging markets.

In this role, you will be tasked with leveraging your HFT industry experience to help this client begin trading on various European exchanges. Through the use of existing infrastructure and your own technical expertise, you will eventually design, develop, test and deploy next-generation elegant software solutions for automated trading systems.

Everyone within the organisation is hands-on, all the way up to Founders – the ideal candidate will still be expected to contribute technically in their day-to-day, alongside other responsibilities.

Given the scope of this role, the successful candidate will be also need to be an outstanding communicator, who can effectively work with different teams across varying locations.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Must have 5+ years of experience working in an HFT environment
  • Proven track record of technical leadership
  • Either: a high level of proficiency with C++ (17/20/23) OR the same level of proficiency with Linux systems administration & platform engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
