About the Company

A team of 120 people, primarily Engineers, Traders, and Quants, focused on high frequency trading, with approximately 1% of global crypto trading volume. A bit unconventional:

  • Self-Taught: Founders do not come from any of the big HFTs.
  • No VCs: They chose to have no venture capitalists on the cap table—this spot is for colleagues.
  • Central Hub in Bratislava: They made Bratislava their central hub, not London or Amsterdam.

About the Position

Looking for someone who can enrich existing knowledge and bring HFT experience that will be crucial for the future of the company.

  • Team Dynamics: Work in small teams and expand upon existing research ideas while generating your own. These ideas could range from modest improvements to entirely new strategies.
  • Ownership: You will be the primary driver of research direction and responsible for the modeling, testing, and monitoring of your strategies in production.
  • Collaboration: Collaboration is key. Team members are expected to share findings and knowledge with others.

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of quant experience in HFT
  • Deep understanding of probability and statistics, data modeling skills, and scientific thinking
  • Some coding skills (e.g. Python)
  • Willingness to relocate to Bratislava

Nice-to-Haves (Absolutely Not Necessary)

  • Crypto experience
  • Ability to write production-grade code
  • People management experience

Compensation

The compensation package consists of four parts: cash, equity, bonuses, and the ability to invest in the fund.

  • Equity: Five-year equity grants are part of the total compensation package. Skin-in-the-game is a big upside if the company succeeds.
  • Bonuses: Bonuses are awarded twice a year, based on individual and company performance. These are discretionary.
  • Fund Investment: Opportunity to invest in the fund that has generated annualized net returns of over 50% since its inception in 2017.
