Summary
This growing crypto trading firm has seen steady growth over the last 3-4 years – not being adversely affected by the wild swings in crypto success due to their robust and sensible strategies, with barely a single day in that time not making profit.
They’re now seeking an exceptional individual to be their first accounting hire. This position offers the opportunity to be part of one of the fastest-growing startups in one of the most exciting industries.
As a key member of the team, you will develop accounting systems and design processes for the firm as an essential contributor. You’ll be the go-to person within the company for financial, accounting and regulatory enquiries, and maintain the books of account under IFRS (including month-end close activities).
The team is spread mostly across Europe, so you’ll be expected to work (roughly) European hours to overlap with your colleagues.
Skills and Experience Required
- Qualified with recognised accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Background in accounting for financial services, fintech, banking, or an exchange, with experience in a high-performance environment.
- Expertise in IFRS and familiarity with accounting month-end book close processes.
- Project management experience.
- Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, and SUMIF.
- Strong skills in Google and Microsoft suites.
Desirable:
- Experience or keen interest in crypto assets and knowledge of basic accounting treatments of crypto assets is a plus.
