The Information Security team is accountable for all aspects of the firm’s security, both physical and IT. In this role, your main focus will be ensuring users and developers are always working in the safest operating environment. To do this, you’ll collaborate with software engineers to proactively identify security flaws and architect technical solutions. You’ll also be tasked with anticipating incidents and protecting against attackers, improving detection capabilities and designing defence controls.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across a broad range of security roles and projects, including compliance-related tasks and the analysis of third-party software and services.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in Information Security, with track record of successful large-scale security design & deployments (instead of reliance on vendor products)
- Good knowledge of academic Computer Science including system level programming
- Programming experience in at least one statically typed language (they use Golang; scripting is in Python)
- Deep familiarity with UNIX and Windows authentication systems with system-level knowledge of other areas a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; with the ability to present across the business, from senior management to highly technical engineers to non-technical colleagues
Desirable
- Experience in any of these fields: cryptography (including analysis of the properties of cryptographic systems), some OS development (either Kernel or Userland), familiarity with Kerberos and related authentication technologies.
- Previous experience in finance industry
