The Quantitative Developer will have the opportunity to work in our Chicago or New York office on strategy development and code optimization. Seeking a candidate that is searching for an opportunity to make a real impact, deliver value, and work within an experienced team.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the team to build, optimize, and evolve the firms’ current research pipeline and strategy development
- Identify potential areas for optimization and performance enhancements through research; including, but not limited to suggestions for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of code quality
- Build components and new infrastructure to maintain new trading strategies and exhausting the testing and debugging skills as part of the development process
- Work directly with traders and developers to provide realistic project timelines and estimates, and ensure team accountability
- Stay current on industry developments and trends to maintain ongoing business awareness and a competitive edge
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree with more than 2 years of experience with an emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a similar field
- Experience coding in C++ and Python
- Strong organizational and software architecture skills with a proven understanding of optimizing and profiling strategies
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time
