The Company:

A young FinTech which has received over $800m in investments and are looking to revolutionise the lending industry. As they are at the early stages, potential employees will be given the chance to have great ownership over the codebase and influence the technology stack. They are currently a small team of c. 35 developers with plans of doubling in the next year or so. They have a very pragmatic view towards tech and therefore are happy to employ developers from any OO background.

 

The Role:

Working closely with both academically and technically strong developers on an array of challenges.

Majority of the work is cloud-based operating within an AWS environment and most of their code is written in Python and React. Experience with Python is not fundamental; strong technical experience and high-quality coding abilities in any OO will be sufficient. Evidently, developers should be pragmatic – keen to cross-train.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background (from a leading university) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics – or equivalent
  • Strong coding experience (ideally 1+ years) in any OO
  • Personal passion for technology, e.g. open-source involvement, attending meet-ups, personal projects, etc.
  • Preferably working at a major tech company, but not imperative
