Summary

Fantastic opportunity to join a brand-new FPGA team, reporting to the CTO at this tech-savvy algorithmic trading firm. A highly impactful role, with high levels of ownership, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of a multi-year roadmap of new projects.

Working in a small, high-quality team with a broad remit, you will work on large, algorithmically complex designs that fully utilize high-capacity FPGAs, incorporating high-speed serial interfaces, external memory interfaces, and PCI Express. You’ll also plan, optimize, and implement FPGA architectures for efficient resource utilization and high throughput keeping in mind trade-offs among speed, area, and power consumption.

This role would suit an FPGA engineer with a deep understanding of hardware design principles; you’re able to take high-level functional requirements and translate them into efficient hardware architectures, always keeping an eye on what gets physically synthesized.

Requirements

  • Capable of thinking ‘beyond the RTL’ to design efficient, resource-conscious circuits
  • Sound proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Good understanding of modern FPGA architectures and their abilities & limitations
  • Knowledge of high-speed serial interfaces, e.g. Ethernet, USB 3.1, or Fibre Channel

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Cocotb is preferred
  • Experience working on trading-related applications is a plus but is not required

Benefits

  • Generous compensation package – you are making a direct impact on the PnL
  • Flat hierarchy, focus on teamwork, where people are rewarded on merit and excellence
  • Outstanding benefits, including onsite gym/sauna/fitness classes, extensive medical cover, and excellent professional development opportunities
  • Autonomy to work in the manner and using the software & hardware that you see fit
