Client:

This premier investment firm undertakes rigorous research and deploys systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across multiple liquid asset classes. Technology is central to their success, with systematic trading across Equities, FX and Futures, including intraday strategies and an expanding focus on HFT.

Role:

They’re looking for a strong C++ Quantitative Developer / Software Engineer to join their growing development team in London. Working on critical greenfield projects, you’ll build high-performance components for both live trading and simulation, while increasing the automation and robustness of the research infrastructure across areas including alpha estimation, risk modelling and backtesting.

With significant project ownership and a collaborative, start-up-style environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on both the trading and research platforms.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ development experience in a similar role
  • Strong programming skills in C++ (some Python would be ideal)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or another quantitative discipline
  • Motivated self-starter with strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Equally comfortable working independently and within a small team

Desirable:

  • Experience working as part of a small trading team
  • Experience with any of the following: SQL, MongoDB, Bash, Git, Docker, Linux/Unix
